About us
Three Generations of Greek Artists
Where Greek Art Becomes a Living Experience
Ancient Symposium is not a staged attraction. It is the living studio of a Greek artistic family—created by sculptors George and Manos Roussis to share the knowledge, materials and stories behind Greek sculpture, ancient wine and perfume.
A Family Shaped by Art
For three generations, art has been more than a profession in the Roussis family—it has been a language passed from one generation to the next. Sculptor George Roussis, painter Magda Roussi and third-generation sculptor and oenologist Manos Roussis represent a family tradition built on study, craftsmanship and creative independence.
George Roussis
A graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, George Roussis has created busts, statues, monuments and classical and contemporary works in bronze and marble. His work belongs to public and private collections in Greece and abroad. He has also served on the Board of UNESCO Greece and on the board of a Greek organisation for the protection of intellectual property rights.
Manos Roussis
Manos studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Florina and oenology and beverage technology in Athens. A member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, he has participated in exhibitions in Greece and abroad, received second prize in a national sculpture competition in Kos and has taught sculpture since 2018. His five-year research into ancient Greek winemaking became the bridge between art, history and wine that defines Ancient Symposium.
From the Studio to the World
Works with an International Story
The Roussis family’s work ranges from portraits, monuments and mythological sculpture to historically inspired armour and objects. Among the studio’s best-known projects is the creation of armour and weaponry for the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Their sculptures—including major works created for international locations—carry Greek craftsmanship far beyond the walls of the studio.

Our Purpose
Keeping Greek Art Alive
Ancient Symposium was created from a simple conviction: Greek culture should not be experienced only from behind museum glass. It should be touched, shaped, tasted, discussed and remembered.
Our work is part of a continuing effort to keep the knowledge of sculpture and ancient Greek craftsmanship alive, while presenting it to visitors from around the world with honesty, care and respect for its origins.
Here, guests do not simply watch an artist. They enter the studio, work with their own hands and learn directly from people whose lives have been dedicated to art.
